- MetreleptinMetreleptin is a recombinant human leptin analogue administered by subcutaneous injection. It is approved in the United States and Europe for the treatment of metabolic complications in patients with generalized lipodystrophy and selected cases of partial lipodystrophy, as well as for rare leptin‑deficiency obesity syndromes. By restoring leptin signalling, metreleptin helps improve insulin sensitivity, lipid profiles, and liver steatosis in these high‑risk groups.
